Slipknot is coming to Rockfest!
Slipknot for Rockfest Friday headliner!
Slipknot, the unconditional legends of metal music, will be coming to Rockfest next June. With millions of albums sold, Slipknot is coming back to our country after a three-year break and is seen as one of Rockfest’s main artists on Friday, June 7.
Rockfest will be held at the Hyvinkää Airfield, known from last summer’s Rockfest. Three days between 7 and 9 June. Ticket sales have already begun on the event website www.rockfest.fi/liput. The sale includes one day Early Bird tickets for € 85 and three-day Early Bird tickets for € 135. Early Bird tickets are on sale on until 19.11. After that all ticket types will be on sale.
Slipknot was founded in Iowa, USA in 1995 and became quite popular among the heavy metal fans thanks to its provocative and aggressive music and impressive stage performances.
The band has won the Grammy Award in the 2006 with Before I Forget song and received ten Grammy nominations. Slipknot also has sold platinum over ten times and Gold over 40 times around the world. Slipknot’s videos have attracted over tremendous 2.5 billion views on YouTube.
The Slipknot’s world tour starts after releasing band’s new album, which it will release in 2019. The singer Corey Taylor has told that their sixth studio album will be released just before the summer, after which they will leave for a large world tour.
Earlier, it was announced that Rainbow, led by Ritchie Blackmore, will arrive to Hyvinkää Airfield a day before Rockfest on Thursday, June 6. More Rockfest’s artist publications are due in the late part of the year. The age limit for the festival is 18 years.
